"We" are a small shop run only by me :) from the heart of my home. I create each design with love and care. As a small shop, I work with a print-on-demand provider to fulfill your orders, which means each piece is made to order - I don’t keep inventory.

I use Comfort Colors T-shirts because I just love them so much! And if you love seasonal graphic T-shirts (bookish, of course!), you’re in the right place. I especially love seasonal designs, because I think they give the opportunity to be bold and have fun with designs and colors!

About me

Hi, I’m Gigi and here's what led to the start of this little project: I worked as an architect in Nicaragua, but my passion has always been art. No matter how busy I was, I would always find time for drawing or painting just out of pure love of the craft!

Anyways, everything changed for me in 2021, when my husband, our two kids, and I moved to Canada, to the vibrant French-speaking city of Montreal. A pretty shocking change of scenery, to say the least!

There, I met a friend who needed illustrations for her new digital children’s storybook. Coincidentally, digital art was one of the only art forms I had never experimented with, but I decided to give it a try anyways. I fell in love with the process soon enough, and by the moment I finished that storybook, I knew this was the path I wanted to follow in this new chapter in my life.

I got inspired by my daughter, the biggest bookworm in my life <3 ! After spending so many years listening to her rave about every new book she picks up, and knowing I also share her love of stories, I felt compelled to join the bookish community. 

I started on Etsy in 2022 and two years later, I decided to take things a step further and create my own little corner, The Bookish Soul.

I'm incredibly grateful for everyone that has helped my vision come to life. This is still uncharted territory for me, but I hope to keep learning and growing as I continue to share my passion with all of you guys! I'm all ears when it comes to any advice or suggestions! I appreciate all of the support more than you can imagine. From the bottom of my heart, once again, thank you all so much.

🎨 How it all comes to life

Most designs begin with a reader mood, a seasonal idea, or a bookish concept I can’t stop thinking about.

As a professional over-thinker, I tend to spend an outrageous amount of time on every design - every detail and every color combination. Sometimes I can’t decide… so I like to offer different color options for each design :)

And if you’ve ever spotted one of my designs somewhere else online, it’s very likely that it comes from here. Some of my work has unfortunately wandered off without permission, which is frustrating at times, but it only makes me more grateful for those who choose to support the original.
